Very little is known about this photographer whos only other work can be tracked down to just a few other CDV’s (This is the only known Dag or Ambro from this artist). Stevenson Bio info: July 1851 Census has William Stevenson as the head of the household (born in Walsden, Lancs and now 20 years of age) looking after his 15 year old brother (John C. his apprentice – he later had his own chemist business at the Strand, Todmorden which states the business started in 1831) and 17 year old sister Jane. Their address was Dawson Wier. His occupation was listed as chemist and druggist.
