1842c Oval Richard Beard Patentee Daguerreotype Man In Rare Tin Pinchbeck
Nice early Beard Patentee of dignified man. The operator has etched his name on the back of the plate. As far as I can make out it says Connor-o (?) which I cannot link thus far with known Patentee operators. There are no scrapes or wipes on the plate just a few small spiders. The oval mat has a few discoloration marks to he peripheries. The glass was cleaned and the package resealed archivally with Filmoplast P90 tape before placing back in the tin pinchbeck. Sits in its original early red morocco fliptop case in good condition.
