1841-2 Early 9th Plate Daguerreotype Lady In Japanned Beard Patentee Frame – Very early, heavy plate with steely grey look (pre gold chloride?). Dag package has an unusual early mat with inner ring (no Beard stamp). The plate is heavy and early with the Wolcott camera banding (plate holder obscures any form of exposure to the edges) clearly visible to the peripheries (Beard stopped using the Wolcott camera in 1843). There is a small touch to the far right near the mat periphery. The front mat plate and Beard Patentee hook have had some of the gold plating worn off over the years. Resealed with Filmoplast P90 archival tape.
